Our 4 hectare vineyard was planted in 1997 on a hilly 40 hectare property. Quiet, idyllic surroundings, fertile soil and hands on viticulture produce grapes with an intense flavour profile. Traditional small-batch winemaking of single vineyard wines completes the yearly cycle of a mere few hundred cases

Our label depicts an apparently true story. The Burmese King of the time considered his royal city of Amarapura was located in the wrong place. In 1857, he had this city transported on the back of elephants to a new position at the foot of Mandalay Hill. He named his re-located city, Mandalay.
